Since 1903 Peddinghaus Corporation has proudly served the steel construction, plate fabrication, and metal working industries with the most innovative equipment on the market. Under its fourth generation of Peddinghaus family management, Peddinghaus is dedicated to engineering expertise focused on machine productivity, efficiency and innovation.
Paul F. Peddinghaus passed the company that he had founded to his son Paul C. Peddinghaus in 1930. While Paul C. maintained the production of the original products, he encouraged his employees to create innovative designs that would meet the new needs of their ever-growing clientele.
In 1974 Dr. Carl U. Peddinghaus guided the company through years of growth and was integral in the development of the Peddinghaus benchmark products for structural steel fabrication: the CNC beam drill and saw lines.
In 2001 the introduction of the fourth generation to Peddinghaus Management took place with Carl G. “Anton” Peddinghaus managing the Corporate Headquarters in the USA, and Julia C. “Cilla” Peddinghaus overseeing European Operations. They both strive to continue the family tradition by creating the best tools for the 21st century fabrication industry.
From the beginning, Peddinghaus Corporation established itself as a company based on quality in all aspects of operation.

Peddinghaus Corporation maintains a strong commitment to ecologically sound business practices. Whether it's the day to day operations of their corporate headquarters, or the energy efficiency of the machines they produce, Peddinghaus remains on the cutting edge of sustainability.
In 2008 Peddinghaus expanded their corporate headquarters to include a 4,180 sq/m (45,000 sq ft) assembly and checkout facility. This state-of-the-art building is certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The entire building is made of steel (processed solely on Peddinghaus equipment), which is comprised of 93.3% recycled scrap. One of the key features of the building is its innovative design which is critical to maintain proper airflow, minimizing the need to heat or cool the building with a climate control system. Due to the number of windows throughout the facility, little electricity is needed to light the building, as natural light is in abundance.
Peddinghaus takes pride in reducing their carbon footprint. Machines using Plasma do not require a water table, which is commonly associated harsh contaminants, and laborious maintenance. Newer machine designs now use 50% less operating power than previous models. Also, several of Peddinghaus' latest designs apply Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL), which is made of vegetable oil rather than chemicals / water mixtures, keeping employees and the environment safe.
By taking these small steps, Peddinghaus does their part in order to assure a bright future for the Steel Industry, and the role we all play in our modern eco-system.

That's why we direct significant effort and resources to provide volunteer services and donations to the Kankakee, Illinois County.
Our mission is to serve - to transcend the barriers of finances, language and culture, and to reach out with programs that address important issues. Peddinghaus' community initiatives include donations to Red Cross, United Way of Kankakee County, Salvation Army, and Toys for Tots. Services include Kankakee River clean ups, home renovations, CASA children advocates, Camp MOSH leaders, veterans home, Hospice volunteers, and adopt-a-child holidays.
